Vintage Clothing

   Vintage clothing is one of the permanent displays of the Museum, but a part that is constantly changn~. Due to the fragile nature of textiles, clothing items are displayed for a few months at a time, and then exchanged with other items. Storage requires acid-free boxes and wrapping tissue, kept away from the damaging UV rays from sunlight or fluorescent fixtures.

The photographs here show some items currently on display for Fall, 2000.
Elaborate white summer dresses with lace, elegant evening dresses from the
1930's, and a wedding dress from the 1950's are included.
