“CORDIALLY INVITED: A Look at Vintage Weddings” Preview Party

For the summer of 2008, the La Porte County Historical Society Museum will be featuring an extensive display of historic fashions and accessories of long ago brides and grooms. To open this display, a Preview Party is being planned at the museum. Admission to the party will be: $8.00 for Historical Society members, and $10.00 for non-members. The admission price includes traditional wedding reception food and drink, as well as a preview of this most extravagant display. “CORDIALLY INVITED: A look at Vintage Weddings”
For all of June, July and August, the La Porte Co. Historical Society Museum will be featuring an elaborate display of vintage wedding fashions and accessories. The museum’s collection of wedding attire ranges from the 1870’s to the 1990’s, and all periods in between. The gowns will be presented in their correct period rooms, as well as being featured in a showcase, an antique buggy, and the museum’s lobby. The museum is located at 2405 Indiana Ave., in La Porte.
