Lincolnway from Clay Street This view from the 1950’s shows a block of buildings largely demolished through the years. The tall building on the corner with circular windows was the old Huntsman Hall building, later the Phoenix Theatre. In its place today is a nondescript one story brick storefront. The next three buildings, however, still stand and the “American Restaurant” visible in the third building is in business again. Other business signs visible are for Ziker Cleaners, Fox Theatre, Kiddie Koop, and Nu-Da Paints. |
