La Porte City Hall -- Built in 1885, this building was located at the southeast corner of South Main Street (Lincoln Way) and Madison Street. It was designed by Chicago architect Cass Chapman, and at one time housed the fire department on the ground floor, with city offices above. This photo dates from around the 1930's.
